Nutrient agar is the most popular agar media on the market today. It is used to culture a wide range of bacteria, molds, and yeasts, though it is not as good for fungus. Contains agar, Pancreatic digest of Casein, and tryptone. These plates are by far the most convenient way to culture bacteria, molds, etc. You will receive ten dishes in a sterilized, plastic wrapped sleeve. The dishes measure 100mm in diameter x 15mm deep. The agar itself has a depth of approximately 6-7mm.
Pre-poured agar is perishable and must be refrigerated.
It is best used within 4 weeks of receipt.
