Allihn Condenser: Jacket Length 400mm: 24/40 Ground Glass

 

This is a new borosilicate Allihn glass condenser with tubing fittings and 24/40 ground glass joints. We are also selling this without the ground glass joints to be used with rubber stoppers. It is an Allihn-type and is 22 total length with 15 1/2 (400mm) of those inches actual condenser length. Bottom inlet diameter is 1 inch. Top outlet diameter is 7/8 in inside diameter. It is 24/40 ground glass on top and bottom. Water supply connectors are hose barbs. Latex, rubber, or polyethylene will do fine for coolant supply. It has more surface area than Leibig condensers. Its common use is under reflux. It can be used for distillation if it is angled to prevent liquid hold-up in the bulbs. It can also be used in vacuum distillations. " "
