Everyone loves to make slime! Two solutions are combined to form this unique polymer, an example of the type of huge molecules.   The preparation of slime is a great example of a chemical change. The large polyvinyl alcohol molecules are linked together (crosslinked) by the boron atoms in sodium tetraborate to create a product we call SLIME. The addition of food coloring turns the slime any color you choose. Kit includes enough polyvinyl alcohol and sodium tetraborate for 4 classes of 24 students, working individually, to make slime.
Suitable for Grades 3-10.
