Potato dextrose agar is a specialized agar media used to propagate yeasts and fungi. It can be used for wine or beer yeasts as well as mushrooms. It contains agar, glucose, and potato. The ready-to-pour solution is supplied in an easy to use, high density, polyethylene bottle. It is safe for shipping and very popular with many of our customers. You will receive 350mL of the ready-to-pour agar. A bottle will fill about 15-20, 100x15mm petri dishes. With proper storage, this product has a useful shelf life of 2 years.
