Offered for sale is our most popular size porcelain mortar and pestle with pouring lip. It is 100mm (4 inches), glazed outside and rough inside for grinding with a footed bottom for stability and 130mL capacity. The pestle is oversized for hand comfort and is unglazed on the bottom. Rims and outside of mortars are glazed with non-lead based glaze. Aside from laboratory purposes, this is great for grinding powders, herbs, medicines, and any other substance which is softer than porcelain. It is great for display or use. These would make a great gift for almost anyone. Great for just about any smashing job.
