Description

MacConkey agar is specific in the differentiation between lactose fermenting or non-fermenting organisms. Lactose fermenting colonies appear red to pink in colonies. Lactose non-fermenting bacteria appear as colorless colonies. MacConkey agar is good for gram negative and coliforms. You will receive 10 dishes in a sterilized, plastic wrapped sleeve. The prepoured dishes measure 100mm in diameter x 15mm deep. The agar itself has a depth of approximately 6-7mm.
