Description

Potato dextrose agar is a specialized agar media used to propagate yeasts and fungi. It can be used for wine or beer yeasts as well as mushrooms. It contains agar, glucose, and potato. This product comes as easy to use pre-measured packets with 40 grams of agar product to make 1000mL of finished solution. Preparation of the solution requires the use of some laboratory equipment such as a hot plate or lab burner. This powder has a useful shelf life of 2 years.
