This 40mm Borosilicate Glass funnel has a conical mouth and a narrow stem.  It is used to pour liquid or fine-grained substances into containers with a small opening.  Without a funnel, much spillage would occur.  Borosilicate glass is great for use in laboratories due to its ability to tolerate a high degree of heat and abrasive chemicals without breaking.  It is not unbreakable, but is very sturdy when handled under normal laboratory conditions.
