This set contains 3 of the 80mm - 3 inch Mortar & Pestles. These three adorable white mortar and pestles are the perfect size to smash pills or anything small. They also would make a great gift for almost anyone. One could be for medicine, one for garlic and one for fresh herbs!! They are made of porcelain, unglazed on the inside of the mortars and bottom grinding areas of pestles. Rims and outside of mortars are glazed with non-lead based glaze. These are approx. 75 mm or 3 with a pouring lip and hold approx. 3 1/2 ounces. They are great for grinding spices, herbs, medicines, or any other substance which is softer than porcelain. The rough inside surface of the mortar provides a good grinding surface. Pestles are oversized for hand comfort and are unglazed on the bottom. "
