Shrunken Treasures Science Home School Kit Experiments

Shrinking plastic leads to expanding fun! Students observe properties of different types of plastics, including color, shape, texture, sound when dropped, and ability to float or sink in water and other solutions. Also, students discover that some plastics shrink when heated. These hands-on activities with plastics teach a lot about the science of polymers and the scientific method. They can also be extended to include literature, art, and math.
