Butterfly Bush Seed Pack

 

The Butterfly Bush (Common Botanical name: Buddleia davidii)  is also called summer lilac, and is a shrub that is native to northwestern China and Japan. It is widely used as an ornamental plant, but can be invasive in many countries including England.  It is actually classified as a weed by the states of Oregon and Washington. 

 

The vibrant flowers are sweetly scented of honey and  are very abundant beginning in midsummer and ending when the chill of fall occurs.   This makes them very popular with Butterflies and Humming Birds all season!  Seeds germinate in 1 to 2 weeks and plants grow quickly.  Full to partial sun is best and well drained soil.  Responds well to pruning.  Instructions included on back of seed package.
