Joseph's Coat Seed Pack - Botanical Name (Amaranthus tricolor)

Joseph's Coat is a leafy plant that grows up to 2 feet tall. The leaves are multi-colored, with brilliant yellow, red and green sections, and is sometimes referred to as the Summer Poinsettia. It is native to tropical areas like the Philippines and India, but it can also be found in Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri and Puerto Rico.

The seeds produced by Joseph's Coat are high in protein and the greens can be a tasty addition to salads, soups and many other recipes where green leafy vegetables are called for. Blooms will have more pronounced coloration when given more light. Seeds germinate in 9 - 12 days.

Seeds are packaged by weight, not number of seeds per package.
