Brassica nigra (black mustard) is an annual weedy plant cultivated for its seeds, which are commonly used as a spice. The plant is native to Eurasia and has been cultivated for thousands of years.

 
Mustard is also known as the Rocket Plant because it is so fast growing.  It can sprout, grow, flower and produce seed in under two months!  Mustard Plants are related to Cabbages and Kale.  The leaves of the plant are edible, and the seeds are used to aid in digestion, for colds, coughs, chills, arthritis and for aches and pains.  This plant will thrive in full sun with plenty of water. 
 
Seeds will germinate in a week.  Instructions are included on back of seed package.
  • Seeds are sold by weight of package, not number of seeds per pack.
