Succulent Mix Seed Pack - Includes a mix of the following varieties...

Agave salmanian, Agave stricta, Agave Filifera, Century Plant, Yucca, Joshua Tree, Great White, Soft Leaf Yucca, Silver-Blue Yucca, Red Yucca, Mexican Desert Pony Tail, and Green Mexican Sotol.

Agaves are native to Mexico, but are also commonly found in southern and western US and in Central and tropical South America. The plants have a large rosette of thick fleshy leaves, each ending in a sharp point and with a spiny margin. Along with plants from the related genus Yucca, various Agave species are popular ornamental plants. They make beautiful additions to any garden, are easy to grow and last for years!

Each rosette grows slowly to flower only once. During flowering a tall stem or "mast" grows from the center of the leaf rosette and bears a large number of short, tubular flowers. After development of fruit the original plant dies, but suckers are frequently produced from the base of the stem which become new plants.

It is a common misconception that Agaves are cacti. Agaves are closely related to the Lily and Amaryllis families, and are not related to cacti.
Seeds will germinate in 2 to 4 weeks. Full planting instructions are included on the back of the seed package.
