Tryptic Soy Agar Powder, 500g

 

500 grams of bulk tryptic soy powder. Tryptic soy agar is always a bacteriological favorite. It is better than nutrient agar for selectivity and maintaining bacteria cultures. Contains Pancreatic digest of Casein, agar, pepsic digest of soybean meal, and glucose. 40 grams of tryptic soy powder makes 1 liter of agar. 500g of tryptic soy agar powder makes approximately 11,000mL of finished solution. Preparation of the solution requires the use of some laboratory equipment such as a hot plate or lab burner. This powder has a useful shelf life of at least 2 years.
