Microbiological agar is a gelatinous substance mainly used to solidify culture medium for microbiological work. You will need to use this along with another powder. This product comes as easy to use pre-measured packets with 500 grams of agar product to make approximately 33 L of finished solution. Preparation of the solution requires the use of some laboratory equipment such as a hot plate or lab burner. This powder has a useful shelf life of 2 years.
