Shipping and Insurance

  • Domestic Shipping
    Our website calculates shipping based on your address, items and type shipping that you want. We offer different methods of shipping on different items, depending on weight, size and perishability. Insurance is included in the shipping price on all packages. We offer UPS and USPS shipping. We will only ship Fed Ex or DHL on your shipper number.
  • If you are in a hurry for your item or the type shipping that you want is not listed when you check out, please call 1-205-853-2711 or email customerservice@onlinesciencemall.com and we will try to accommodate you.
  • Please remember that we cannot control mistakes that shipping companies make. If you need your purchase overnight and we ship it correctly, we cannot be held liable because the shipping company was in error. We can apply for a refund of your shipping and reimburse if the shipper refunds it to us.
  • Because of the variety that we carry, sometimes the shipping cost is hard to calculate on real time shipping. We often refund partial shipping if your shipping was calculated too high. If it is too low, we ship anyway! If you have a question about the shipping cost, please email. Our merchandise comes in all sizes and weights and we will pack it and confirm a shipping price.
  • If for any reason we cannot ship the way you have chosen, we will contact you.
  •  Customers can expect email notification when your package is shipped. If you do not hear from us for any reason, please contact us, so that you receive the service you expect. We will inform you of any back orders. We try our best to have a perfect inventory and ship promptly, but sometimes mistakes happen.   • All shipments are insured based on approximate value of the contents.

  • International Shipping
    Our program estimates all international shipping by destination, weight and size of package. Our website only calculates international priority shipping (which includes tracking) for all international purchases but we can often offer international first class at a lower rate for small items if you email us for an estimate.
  • Our shipping always includes insurance and a small charge to cover the costs of shipping. If our program calculates too high, we will refund the difference and if it calculates too low we reserve the right to offer you the opportunity to pay the difference or cancel the sale. We carry a huge variety of merchandise in weight and size and the USPS has different size and weight regulations for different countries.
  • Please realize that international shipping is expensive and consider your purchase carefully because all international shipping fees are non-refundable although we do always purchase insurance to replace any lost or damaged items.
  • The time table for international shipping is not always reliable, please do not blame us if it takes longer than expected to arrive. Please check with your post office and customs to see if it has arrived. Many times a “lost” package is at the post office. Each country has different fees and policies.
  • You are responsible for all customs fees when your package arrives. If the package does not show up in 30 days, we will ask for an affidavit from you and then reship your package.
  • We also do not put that is a gift or sample on the customs form for legal reasons.
  • We ship internationally twice weekly.

  • Damaged or Incorrect Shipments

    We try our best to pack carefully but shipping companies can be rough on packages and mistakes happen. Unfortunately, there are occasions when merchandise is damaged in shipment and arrives in unacceptable condition. For any damages or incorrect items please contact us immediately. We can be reached at 1-205-853-2711 or customerservice@onlinesciencemall.com. We pride ourselves on taking care of problems quickly. All of our packages are insured. We will ask you to contact the shipping company for damaged items or send an affidavit and then we will immediately reship to you. You will not have to wait for your merchandise. IMPORTANT! Please retain all original cartons and packing materials.

  • Lost, Refused and Undeliverable Packages

    Ups and Usps handle lost packages differently. For priority mail, the post office will issue a tracer after 14 days. You may email us if you have not received a tracking number for any reason and after 14 days let us know if you have not received your package. Our insurance will pay for lost packages after 30 days. We will need a faxed signed affidavit saying that you did not receive your package. It must be dated 30 days after shipping. As soon as we get that, we will reship to you and handle the paperwork with the insurance company ourselves. We will reship to you even if we do not get reimbursed.

    UPS will issue a tracer immediately. Again, if you did not get a tracking number for any reason, email us. If the package does not arrive as expected, we will start a tracker when you contact us.

    Please check the email we send when your package is shipped. If you see any mistakes in your address, please contact us immediately so we can redirect the package. If the package is undeliverable or refused due to your mistake, UPS charges us double shipping, which we will expect you to pay. Please double check your address to be sure that it is correct.
    Third party returns are not accepted.

    Returns, Refund and Exchange Information

    All products sold by OnlineScienceMall are warranted by us for quality and condition for 30 days by us. Many items have longer manufacturer’s warranties. If an item is found to have a manufacturing defect or fails to perform to the specifications in our catalog description, a replacement, refund or credit will be issued. We will exchange within 30 days, with no restocking charge, any item in its original condition for merchandise of equal or greater value.

    Warranty repairs on equipment must be handled according to the warranty requirements of the different manufacturers.
    All returns, other than shipping damages or our error, are the responsibility of the purchaser. We will refund within 30 days of purchase any item for any reason if the product is in the packaging and condition in which it was received by the customer. We will refund the purchase price minus a 20% restocking charge to cover our fees and expenses. If there are extenuating circumstances that you think that you should not be charged the restocking fee, please contact us. Shipping is not refunded and you are responsible for shipping your package back unless it is our error. Third party returns are not accepted.
