Cobalt Chloride Paper
Vial contains 100 strips
Most often used in classrooms, Cobalt Chloride paper is used for testing for humidity in the atmosphere. Simply remove a strip from the bottle, hold it to a heat source such as a light bulb or heater and watch the strip turn blue. Then take the strip to the area that is to be tested for humidity. If there is moisture in the air, the strip will turn pink. This result can also be tested by breathing heavily on the strip, taking it outside after a rain storm or taking it in the bathroom after a shower. The strip will not change color if exposed directly to moisture.
