   The MW600 is a portable dissolved oxygen meter, and is ideal for use in school laboratories. Taking dissolved oxygen measurements is also very important for fish farms/ponds, where oxygen levels need to be continuously monitored to obtain optimal fish reproduction.
   The MW600 is easily calibrated in 2 points: at both 100% saturated air and in a 0 oxygen solution. With automatic temperature compensation, it guarantees the highest accuracy when taking measurements. In addition to temperature compensation, the MW600 also has a low battery warning. Its easy to replace screw-on cap membranes (located on the tip of the MA840 probe) make this meter extremely simple to operate.
   Included with the MW600 meter is an MA840 D.O. polaro-graphic probe with 3 meter cable, a calibration screwdriver, 2 spare membranes (MILMA841), a 20mL sachet of MA7040 electrolyte solution, a 9V battery and instructions.

Altitude & Salinity Compensation

   If the sample contains salts, or if the measurements are being performed at an altitude different from sea level, the readout values must be corrected to take into account the lower degree of oxygen solubility. Both altitude and salinity affect the D.O. concentration by decreasing its value.
   All readouts are reffered to sea level (with a barometrice pressure of 760mmHg), thus the displayed measurements are going to be higher than the actual values. Both altitude and salinity can be compensated for, by using the information contained in the tables.
