2.25x2.25" Solar Cell w/Wire Leads, Pack of 10
by American Scientific
These solar cells are used to power small motors and other devices which draw small amounts of current. The cells can be used individually or connected for more voltage or parallel for more current. Ideas for classroom experiments are outlined in the included teacher's guide. Using this solar cell, students will be able to learn about the constant state of energy, calculating the power of various energy sources and the attractiveness of solar energy. They can also be used to power small projects in the household laboratory.
The cell itself measures 2.25x2.25" and features a pair of 4.5" wire leads, allowing it to be connected to a motor, lightbulb holder, buzzer, or switch, as part of an experiment. It is capable of generating 0.5V/500mA.
