Privacy and Security Policy
When your order is placed with Online Science Mall through our website, the information that you provide, as well as the online transaction, automatically take place on a secure server. All the information is encrypted by SSL technology before being transmitted. Once your order has been processed, your credit card number (including expiration date and 3-digit security code) is removed from our system as an added measure of security, to help protect you and your credit card.
What kind of information is collected?
We do not collect any information about you, the consumer, until you actually place an order. The entire time you browse our website, you do so anonymously. When you do place an order, we do need to know some of your details however, including: your name, email address, a telephone number, and a mailing & billing address. The payment method you choose will determine what other information is required to complete your order.
Please note that providing a valid email address and telephone number will allow us to contact you should any problems with your order arise. A valid email address will also help ensure that you receive a copy of the tracking number once your order has been shipped, as well as receive updates about your order status.
Do we do anything else with the information?
No. We do not sell, trade, rent or provide any of your personal information to any third parties without your consent. Please be aware however that in the case of fraudulent orders, information may be provided if it is requested by a law enforcement agency.
What about your newsletter? Am I signed up whenever I order?
While some companies automatically sign you up for their mailing list, we will ONLY send you a copy of our newsletters if you have signed up for them on our website. If, for any reason at all, you wish to be removed from our mailing list, you can do so by emailing us or following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our previous newsletters.
Online Science Mall does send an email confirmation of any order placed to all our customers. If you do not receive this, please contact us via email or phone (205)853-2711 so that we can try to track down your order for you.
If you would rather not order online, we are available by phone at (205)853-2711 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday. If you call after hours, please leave us a message and we will return your call ASAP to take your order and/or answer any questions you may have.
