Admiral Fitzroy's Storm Glass
by Kikkerland

One of the meteorological tools that was present on the HMS Beagle during Charles Darwin's 1834-1836 voyage, the storm glass is a type of barometer. By observing the liquid within the glass, it is supoosed to indicate changes in the weather. The white flakes within the glass tube will change based on the barometric pressure, which can be used to make predictions on what the weather will be. As the pressure changes, it affects the chemical reaction taking place within the storm glass, altering it.

The Storm Glass measures 5.4" tall, and includes a sturdy beechwood base to sit in. With the base, it is 5.5" tall.
