Product Details

Club Earth -  Glow In The Dark - Mars Stones - Glow RED!
 by Play Visions

We think Mars is known as the Red Planet because it is rusty.  There is a lot of iron in the soil and the air on Mars has made it turn red - just like rusty iron on Earth.  One of Mars' moons, Phobos, is moving closer & closer to Mars.  Scientists think that one day it will crash into Mars.  Mars has the tallest volcano in our solar system; it is named Olympus Mars and is 15 miles high (3 times the height of Mt. Everest).  Like Earth, the poles of Mars are covered in ice.  The ice becomes thicker in the winter, when nighttime temperatures can drop as low as -191 degrees Fahrenheit!

These smooth pink pebbles will glow RED when charged by exposing to light.  To use your Mars Stones: Expose them to any light source and then turn out the lights and watch them GLOW!

  • Approximately 30 Stones per package.

Ages 5 and up.

All “glow-in-the-dark” products contain phosphors and have to be “charged” in order to attain a good glow.  A phosphor is a substance that radiates visible light after being energized.  After being exposed to light, most items will glow for at least 10 minutes. You may need to be in nearly complete darkness to notice it.  The brighter the light and the longer the exposure, the better and longer the item will glow.
