Hornblende Mineral - Pack of 10
by American Educational Products

Hornblende is an isomorphous mixture of three molecules, and is not actually recognized as a mineral in its own right. Because it often contains manganese, titanium, sodium and potassium, hornblende got its name from a derivation of the German words horn and blenden, which means "to deceive", because of its similar appearance to other minerals that are known to be metal-bearing ores.

Each rock or mineral specimen measures approximately 1-2 inches in length along its longest side.
