Product Details
This plastic beaker has a graduated capacity of 1000mL, with raised graduations on the outer surface for easy readability. New Style beakers feature oversized, tapered spouts for easier pouring of solutions. Plastic beakers molded in polypropylene have excellent clarity and chemical resistance and are autoclavable. Outer diameter is 110mm, height is 150mm.
Molded from a single piece of polypropylene, these plastic beakers feature raised graduations in 25ml increments that, unlike painted-on graduations, aren't susceptible to fading or paint rubbing off. The broad round base at the bottom of the cylinder provides good stability.
Similar to polyethylene, polypropylene features an additional methyl group that adds improved mechanical and thermal resistance. At room temperature, it is resistant to fats and almost all organic solvents, save for strong oxidizers. It can also handle non-oxidizing acids and bases with relative ease. Max usage temperature is 135 degrees Celsius.
